Emily

Oh, she’s got cold feet

You can see her in the window

Pretending for the streetlight glow

A girl’s blush tickled pink

She’ll run back to nest among

Her menagerie in pastel plush

She’ll take cocoa in candle hush

Before she falls asleep

Don’t you wish that she was

As you imagined when you saw her

In the evening music’s murmur

In her mother’s white dress
