Summer Demons

Bring summer demons rushing down

Twine them ’round your midnight crown

Toothy leers and crimson frowns

Their smoky tails your seamless gown

Bring summer demons to the heights

Above melodies and city lights

Coloured masks wink bold and bright

As misplaced stars in festive skies

Bring summer demons flying west

Lacquer limbs as your wings’ breadth

Through fireworks and paper pressed

By lanterns and by whimsy blessed

And keep your summer demons by

In chaotic voice and charcoal sigh

Suspend them in their nightmare guise

As songs and sparks light up the sky

  1. “And keep your summer demons by

In chaotic voice and charcoal sighs

Suspend them in their nightmare guise

As songs and sparks light up the sky”

This song definitely lights up this reader’s sky. πŸ™‚
I am afraid a reblogging of these summer demons is unvoidable..
