I woke up prematurely
In the most agreeable way
Three sweetly-laden platters
A black forest, a mousse, a cheesecake
And as I dressed for work
I still wanted to believe
Sadly, my empty stomach
Proved the cakes were just a dream

My Own Paradise: Life on Seven and a Half Acres
Who hasn’t been there?!
I know! And its disappointing but at the same time dream cakes are still pretty yummy
I like that your dream was so specific about the sweets, and even let you have them. In the dreams I have, I’m in cafés in queues, and if I get to the counter, I wake up before I’m served.
Haha I dreamed that someone in my office had brought them in and the next day when I saw her without sweets I felt irrationally let down… But that’s not very nice of your dreams, the bait and switch!
I suppose that dreams are rational underneath somewhere. Mine can be pleasant or unpleasant, I don’t mind a bit of variety, and cheaper than Netflix. Haha.
